Alright, it’s that time. Spring is here, the weather is good, and it’s not interested in your couch plans.

Seriously…how many “we should go do something this weekend” conversations are we going to have before you actually get up and go?

Take something like the Live from Braselton concert on April 17, and again on May 15. You show up thinking you’ll hang out for a bit, and next thing you know, you’re fully set up like you planned to stay all night.

Then roll into Pooches in the Park on April 18, and now you’ve got dogs everywhere, people laughing, and zero reason to leave anytime soon.

Join us at Chateau Elan for Latitude One: Chef and Winemaker Dinner on April 11. This is an exclusive chef and winemaker dinner. It pairs global cuisine with estate wines in the newly released Matisse venue. Guests can enjoy a modern, elegant setting alongside vineyard charm.

Then Spring Soiree!! When April 25–26 hits, the Art-Tiques Vintage Market takes over. Streets packed, booths everywhere, food in your hand, and somehow you’re leaving with something you absolutely did not plan on buying.

Braselton doesn’t ease you into spring. It throws you straight into it.

Road Atlanta Brings the Noise (In the Best Way)

Now, if you want energy, real energy, you go toward Road Atlanta and celebrate its fifty-year history.

You’ve got MotoAmerica Superbike Speedfest (April 17–19), and this is not a casual little event. This is loud, fast, packed with people, and the kind of thing you feel in your chest before you even see it.

Then right behind it, The Mitty Vintage Racing (April 24–26) rolls in with classic cars and a completely different vibe, but just as much pull.

Formula DRIFT will bring both its PRO and PROSPEC Championships to the track May 7-9. This will include practice sessions, competitive tandem Seeding Bracket Qualification, both Top 32 Competition Heats, driver autograph sessions, and more!

Back for 2026 – Ferrari’s Corse Clienti program featuring the XX Programme, Sport Prototipi Cliente, and the F1 cars will take to the track May 21-22. F1 cars running around the hills of Michelin Raceway is not something you have the opportunity to see very often, so don’t miss the return!

For the motorcycle racing enthusiasts, WERA Cycle Jam brings motorcycle racing excitement to Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta in 2026. The Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta circuit is one of North America’s finest motorcycle racing facilities, and WERA events have consistently produced jaw-dropping two-wheel action. The Summer WERA event features the Annual Cycle Jam and will include Vintage Racing, Sportsman Sprints, and National Challenge Sprints.

These are full-day events. You don’t swing by these. You commit.

Head Toward Gainesville and Lake Lanier and Lose Track of Time

You ever say, “Let’s just run over to Gainesville real quick,” and then suddenly it’s dark, and you’re still out?

That’s this section of your life now.

The Lake Lanier Boat Show (April 24-26) is one of those events where you go to “just look,” and end up staying way longer than planned.

At the same time, you’ve got the Dragon Boat Challenge (April 25) at the Olympic Park, which is loud, fast, and surprisingly addictive to watch.

And then there’s Margaritaville at Lanier Islands. Enjoy a fun-filled water day at Fins Up Water Park.  Dock your boat and enjoy lunch at Land Shark Landing and Land Shark Bar and Grill, which basically turns into spring headquarters: The beach, music, people everywhere, and no real reason to leave.

If you want something a little more laid-back, Don Carter State Park is running the Monumental Moments Scavenger Hunt through May 1, which somehow turns walking around outside into something you actually enjoy doing.

You went for one stop. You stayed for all of it.

Or Just Point the Car North and See What Happens

Now this is where things get good.

You don’t plan this part. You just go. Head north toward Blue Ridge, Dahlonega, or Hiawassee and let the day figure itself out.

You might land at the Blue Ridge Trout & Outdoor Festival on April 25, where everything is outdoors, relaxed, and exactly what you need.

Or hold off a couple of weeks and hit the Dahlonega Arts & Wine Festival on May 16–17, which is wine, art, music, and people walking around like nobody has anywhere else to be.

And in between those bigger events, Dahlonega is just doing its thing. Live music, wineries, local shops, and places you didn’t plan to stop but do anyway.

You told yourself it was just a drive.

Now you’re six hours deep into the day and not even thinking about heading home.

May Shows Up, and Now Everything Is Happening Everywhere

April gets you moving. May makes sure you don’t slow down.

Now you’ve got festivals every weekend, live music popping up everywhere, food trucks, outdoor events, and more options than you know what to do with.

You can stay close. You can head to the lake. You can go back to the mountains.
