The Village Chateau Elan is a friendly cluster home community where neighbors enjoy gathering! Most homes have graceful southern front porches that beg for socializing. Beautiful wide steps adorned with bright red geraniums in the summer or the dazzling autumn hues of mums in the fall lead to rocking chairs and porch swings. This neighborhood has miles of sidewalks connecting neighbors together easily. Runners, walkers, parents with strollers, and those with fur babies enjoy the ability to exercise, take long walks or just pop over to a friend’s house with a freshly baked goodie or to borrow a book.

The majority of homes have alley entrances to their garages. Lawn maintenance is included in the HOA fee, so the small yards stay tidy and neat. Many homes have detached garages, some of which have finished attic spaces. The spacious homes are somewhat smaller than in other sections of Chateau Elan. Village Chateau Elan homes also have high-end finishes with gourmet kitchens, tiled bathrooms, stunning crown moldings, and 10 foot or sometimes vaulted ceilings. Though these homes have smaller footprints, several have small swimming pools perfect for lounging on a hot day. Courtyards are common with large patios perfect for entertaining. Lovely pathways between the garage and the houses typically lead to these little hidden oases.

A large park complete with an ivy-covered pergola is perfect for flying kites! (Underground utilities help aid that endeavor too.) Often, the neighborhood block parties are held in this green space too. Everything from a game of tag football to big Easter Egg hunts happens here. Another gem of the Village Chateau Elan lifestyle is golf cart accessibility. It makes sense that many homeowners within the entire community have golf carts. Due to the open nature of carts and the many restaurants right on the resort grounds, it’s very common to see residents taking a golf cart to lunch or dinner. The golf cart travel is so popular that wide paths extend outside the Chateau Elan gates and extend along Winder Highway. This allows residents and visiting golfers alike to enjoy dining options outside of the resort.
