More about the neighborhoods within Chateau Elan!

The Chateau Elan Communities are a series of exclusive gated neighborhoods woven along the stunning golf courses surrounding the popular Chateau Elan Winery & Resort. Here luxury, southern hospitality, nature, and relaxation come together. Live a resort lifestyle surrounded by three award-winning golf courses with acclaimed spa services, and restaurants! Let’s not forget the award-winning wines, all just a walk or a short cart ride away.

Less than an hour away from Atlanta, Chateau Elan is a 3,500-acre development nestled in North Georgia’s picturesque rolling hills. Beautiful vineyards and the French-inspired chateau create a vista reminiscent of the romantic French countryside. The terrain and soil produce top-quality muscadine grapes.  The founders of the resort knew they would produce wine people would love from the native grape. In addition to wines that pay homage to the muscadine, all varieties from Chardonnay, Merlot, Cabernet, and Riesling are enjoyed at the winery. Of course, Chateau Elan wines are a big part of the draw to the resort’s restaurants too! The vineyard wines also have a robust distribution network and are a feature in many restaurants in the southern US.

The Chateau Elan Communities

Chateau Elan Estates features three world-class golf courses, one of which was chosen to host the Georgia Open in 2012-2013. Throughout the surrounding properties and weaving along the edges of the golf courses are approximately 2,000 custom-built luxury homes. All types of architectural influences are seen in the different communities that flank the resort. Some, like The Village at Chateau Elan, is clearly inspired by the sweeping front porches of southern America. A cluster-type neighborhood, The Village offers alleyway entrances and miles of sidewalks. A large park with a beautiful vine-covered arbor where neighbors gather for parties and other events.

Step back to the Old World

The Village at Oxley will have you wondering if you’ve stumbled onto a street in downtown Charleston or Savannah. Old world architectural styles and mature trees with smaller green spaces give this community a quaint but opulent feel. The Village at Oxley offers homeowners a bit more privacy. Most of the outdoor space is tucked away in magical little courtyards. Each neighborhood within Chateau Elan has its own look and feel. Every detail is thought of, right down to naming the streets for the types of trees present.

One of the most coveted areas of the resort community is what is affectionately known as “the Woodlands”. This area includes the homes that are adjacent to or near the highly acclaimed and truly spectacular golf course by the same name. These homes are typically quick to sell and much loved by their owners. These homes are executive in size and scope and tend to have a more traditional style with modern accents.

Inspired by Legends

Chateau Elan Country Estates neighborhood is aptly named. Less than 50 homes sites, each more than an acre each, boast some of the most beautiful homes in the region. Country Estates homes have views of both the Chateau Elan golf course and Duncan Creek. Much like the Country Estates, the ultra-exclusive Sarazen’s Corner offers views of the picturesque Woodland’s golf course as well as Duncan Creek. With only 21 large, wooded home sites, a Sarazen’s Corner property is highly prized.

The name “The Legends at Chateau Elan” multitasks as a community, a clubhouse, and a golf course. Legends homes are also executive estates. They sit on large parcels, many with views of the Legends course, which is private.  The Executive Estates at Chateau Elan enjoy a close proximity to the resort’s winery, inn, and spa. Residents enjoy large parcels with beautiful views of the Chateau Elan Golf Course and Duncan Creek. Furthermore, the ability to be a part of the Legends makes this neighborhood highly desirable. Finally, there is Creekside, a lovely area with wide sidewalks and rolling hills not too far from The Village.

There’s something for everyone in the wide variety of cuisine offered across the resort. Residents and members also have easy access to the stunning Inn at Chateau Elan for visiting guests.

There are several lovely spots, with incredible views, for those couples fantasizing about a vineyard wedding. Bridal parties can spend the day at the spa while friends and family have ample accommodations. Choose from the magnificent Inn or the new Hampton Inn, also on the grounds.
