Real Estate in 2022

Once upon a time, a Real Estate Broker needed a storefront buzzing with agents, a receptionist to answer the phone, and a copy machine with an ample supply of ink and toner. While it seems shocking in today’s texting and emailing society, people looking to buy or sell real estate actually drove to these offices and went inside to search for properties with an agent, across a desk, and flipped through MLS books looking at one photo of the property before jumping in the car together to go see properties.

TIMES HAVE CHANGED!

“We have an office in Braselton and Sugarloaf, but we do not require our agents to take turns wasting their time manning it. The office is most often used as a place to do closings. More often than not our clients are on the move too and want to meet at the properties of interest. Think about it; why should a client drive thirty minutes out of the way to meet at an office to then ride to a property that is in another direction? We all have GPS.” explained Ben Harrison, Broker at Sun Realty Group, LLC. “It’s not a good use of mine or our agent’s time to sit in an office and wait for the phone to ring or for a client to amble in.”

“Our agents are on their smartphones and constantly moving, their automobiles are their offices. You have to be flexible and able to move quickly to accommodate clients and customers, no sitting around waiting. That’s how we make deals happen for our clients,” Harrison continued.

Today, the realtor is needed to help clients with the process of buying and selling. Sellers and buyers need facts on pricing and market conditions, how to obtain photos or videos of their home, to list the house with a fantastic description, to network with other realtors and potential sellers, and then to negotiate offers.

“Sun Realty Group Associate Brokers and Realtors are first and foremost people who love helping people”, Harrison explained. “Deep knowledge of the areas we serve is really important to me, Real Estate is Local. I’ve lived in this area all of my life; I come from a family of realtors. I have watched north Georgia grow and develop in this field for 29 years. Many of our agents have similar experiences, they also know and love North Georgia.” Harrison said.
